It is requested that an inspection report be submitted after every visit to a site, reporting any deterioration or damage done to the buildings, and services, and recommending emergency repairs, long-term maintenance, or design changes. The same applies to the access roads, particularly in the spring.

At Atikokan, Belleterre, Biscotasing, Elliot Lake, Oba, Timmins, and Todd Mountain, forestry towers are being operated by the Dept of Lands and Forests, Forest Protective Associations, or paper companies. At Atikokan the tower is a joint radar and forestry tower and will be used by the Dept of Lands and Forests as their tower has been dismantled. The above agencies are being requested to accept temporary responsibility for maintenance of the access roads as required by them, and temporary responsibility for the outward care and custody of the buildings and services while their personnel are on site. This arrangement should protect us against vandalism, but will not eliminate the need for inspection trips.
