Permission to Enter for Field Survey & Soil Investigation
Gap Filler Radar Stations Springton Relocated PEI and
Scotch Settlement Relocated NB

Further to our 10-F24 (JDPG) of 4 Nov 59, the following sites have been approved by CTel/ATSC Evaluation and Approval Committee on 24 Nov 59 and action is requested as noted:

  1. Springton - obtain permission from Mr Florent Dorion

  2. Scotch Settlement - obtain permission from Mr Robert Northrup.

It is suggested that the DOT land agent contact the consulting engineer and arrange for a joint trip to the site.

The following is general information about the sites.

  1. SPRINGTON RELOCATED

    Name of Site

    Springton Relocated, even though it is only 2 miles NW of the Town of New Glasgow.

    Description of Site

    Approx 100' x 200' in Lot 23, St Mary's Twp, Queen's County, Hope River Parish.

    Location of Site

    Starting at New Glasgow, proceed NW toward Stanley Bridge for a distance of 2 miles. Turn left and proceed 1/3 mile to telphone marked 59 R 72 P. Site area is on NE side of road opposite this pole.

  2. SCOTCH SETTLEMENT RELOCATED

    Name of Site

    Scotch Settlement Relocated, even though it is only 4 miles NE of the Village of Springfield.

    Description of Site

    Approx 100' x 200' on Bull Moose Hill, Springfield Parish, Kings County.

    Location of Site

    Starting at Village of Norton on Highway No 2, turn north on Highway No 40 and proceed a distance of 7 miles to Village of Springfield. Turn right and proceed for a distance of 2 miles. Turn left on single lane gravel road and proceed 2 miles to farm of Mr Robert Northrup. Bull Moose Hill is immediately behind farm buildings.
