Field Survey
Gap Filler Station Mr Carleton, NB

With reference to the province's request for information pertaining to the location of our proposed installation on Mt Carleton, it is requested that you advise DOT our consultant has not yet submitted his field survey for this site but it is expected before the end of January 1960. At the present time it is not possible to define accurately the location of our installation, but in general, it will consist of two small areas, each approximately 100 ft square. One area will be located as close as practicable to the highest point of the mountain and will consist of an operations building and a combined tower for our installation and forestry personnel. The second area will be located at a convenien location further down the hill and will consist of a power and accommodation building. A road allowance will be required from the existing Fraser Company Nictau Lake Road for approximately 6 miles for an access road, and communications line.

The design of the combine tower will be submitted to the Province for their approval of the forestry facilities as soon as it is available.
