Re: Progress Report No 2,
Maritime Gap Filler Stations.

Further to our Progress Report No 1, dated 14 September the following additional work has been completed during the period 7 September to 1 October 1959.

  1. Site Reconnaissance, Reconnaissance Reports, & Intermim Construction Estimate

    No change. Reconnaissance of St Joseph's and Alder River will be completed by 16 October 1959.

  2. Field Survey (Completed)

    Mount Carleton, NB

  3. Field Survey (in progress)

    Les Etroits, NB. Field Survey started 28 September 1959. Building site survey (brick, monuments, etc) completed. Access Road Survey in progress, 10% completed. Estimated completion date 24 October 1959.

  4. Field Survey Plans

    Siting instruction plan on line, scale 1" equals 50' completed for the following: Mount Carleton.

  5. Foundation sketches for Building & Towers

    Foundation sketches for the following soil conditions have been prepared:

    1. Foundation on rock

    2. Foundation on eartyh

    3. Foundation on rock below earth cover

    No further foundation sketches will be prepared as per your letter S10-136-80/5 (JDPG) dated 5 October 1959.
