Dear Sir:

Re: Field Surveys - Gap Filler Stations,
Ontario - Your Ref: S10-136-5 SECRET (CCE/Prop)

Reference is made to your report of April 30th, 1959 concerning your Department's request to undertake field surveys and soil investigation in the Province of Ontario in connection with the construction of Gap Filler Stations at various locations on Provincial land.

Our Regional Office has been advised by Provincial Officials that the permissions required will be granted subject to your Department making formal applications for Work Permits.

Enclosed are a number of Work Permits and we would suggest, in order to avoid any delay, that your Surveyors present these direct to the District Forester. Also, your Surveyor might contact the District Forester concerning the remaining sites not covered by these Permits.

The Ontario Department of Lands and Forests are aware of your complete requirements for Gap Filler Sites affecting Provincial land.

Yours truly,

J R Baldwin,
Deputy Minister
