Dear Sir:

We have duly received your letter of the 2nd instant, in connection with lands that the Department of National Defence wishes to test in order to construct Gap Filler Stations.

As Messrs Fritsch and Lariviere of the said Department have so been informed, we are pleased to grant the permission to undertake this preliminary work on Crown Lands, providing that the engineers assigned to this work obtain from the local officers in charge of forest protection, the permits of prescribed thoroughfare, that the prescribed cutting rights be paid to whom it may concern for the timber cut in the performance of the works undertaken and that the regulations of forests protection be observed.

We are writing accordingly to our Chief's of District and to the timber licence holders interested.

Yours very truly

J Edouard Guay, fe
Assistant Deputy Minister
