Progress Report on Plans and Specifications
for Gap Filler Radar Station Roads

The following is the present status of the Gap Filler Roads:

  1. All of the roads have been constructed at the following gap fillers under previous contracts and no additional work is required by Eng 4 Section.

    1. Algonquin Park
    2. Belleterre
    3. Elliott Lake
    4. Formosa
    5. Timmins
    6. Tobermory
    7. Atikokan
    8. Biscotasing
    9. Chapleau
    10. Westport

  2. At La Tuque there is an existing bush road. This road is in poor condition and will require ditching, the addition of gravel and the reconstruction of some small bridges with native timber.

  3. At Sparta the road subgrade is complete. A specification will be required to cover the reshaping of the subgrade and the addition of gravel to the road surface.

  4. The plans and specifications now underway are as follows:
