Design Criteria - Power Equipment
Gap Filler Radar Stations - General

The selection of power generating equipment & the connection of the power source to the radar equipment should meet the following requirements:

1. Power supply voltage: 108 to 133 volts (measured from center point of wye to each leg) and 186 to 230 volts (measured from each leg to every other leg).

2. Phase: 3 phase

3. Power supply frequency: 60 cycles per second (spc) plus or minus 2 cps.

4. Waveform: The deviation factor of the power line (voltage characteristic) shall not exceed 10 percent.

5. Harmonic content: 5 percent or less

6. Duty: The load presented by the radar set to the 3 phase source shall be distributed so that no normal conditions shall cause more than 15 percent load unbalance between any 2 phases.
