Ref para 2, if the standard tower AB467 is used critical dimensions are as follows:

  1. Extension of the equipment configuration center line must join with a centre line through pier 3

  2. The line that joins the centers of pier one and two must be parallel to, and 10 feet +/- 1/2 inch, from the inside wall of the equipment building. (This 10 foot distance appears to be the result of a packaged installation. If necessary this could possibly be moved up to 40 feet without noticeable effect, however, confirmation of this is still required.)

  3. The elevation of the piers must vary more than 1/16 inch (not cumulative).

  4. The top of the universal foundation pier must be 8 inches +/- 1/4 inch, below the finished floor level of the equipment building.

  5. Waveguide entry is through the wall containing the water coolers as shown on the attached sketch.

Ref para 3, the presently proposed parent sites or terminal stations are shown on the CADIN plan. You will be notified if changes occur.

Telecon with Mr Hansen of Cambridge Research Center, Lexington, Mass, phone Volunteer 28950 Ext 183, discloses that the fire warden tower is to be a modified AB-258/FPS-6 temperate tower with an extension AB554 the whole to be called AB509. There has been no radome hold down ring designed for this configuration as yet. Plans are on their way from Rome NY and will be sent to you when received. This differs from his previous statement that the base would be a modified AB-16.
