Acquisition of Property
Gap Filler Sites
TB letter 606933 dated 20 Feb 63 concurred with our proposal to defer the Gap Filler Programme for approximately one year or until the end of 1963. The Board also asked that a further report be submitted before the programme is re-instituted.
Property negotiations should be completed at all sites (25) where construction has started. In some instances it may be more practical to obtain long term options. On the remaining sites (20) there is no need to proceed with property acquisition at this time. Again, you may be able to negotiate long term options that would be advantageous to the department.
It is understood that DCEP has already advised you in detail of the property and power requirements.
