Dear Sir:

Re: Building Keys
Gap Filler Radar Stations, Various

In reply to your letters of 5 April 1963 on files 122-7-193-S41-1, 122-7-193-S39-1, 702-B20-1 and 702-S44-1 and 18 April on file 702-1 regarding building keys for the various Gap Filler Radar Stations, we wish to advise you as follows:

  1. All keys for Bridgetown and Summerville Centre should be forwarded to this office. There is no necessity of retaining any keys for Northern Electric Co or Dominion Bridge Co as their erection and installation contract has also been temporarily stopped. It would appear from your letter of 18 April that this request has been complied with but nevertheless the explanation is forwarded for your information.

The question marks on the list of building keys attached to our letter of 28 March indicated that we have not received the correct keys. The keys for Manitouwadge are with the Steelox components which were not shipped by Armco. The keys received from Mr J McIntyre for Marathon actually belong to Biscotasing and the correct keys for Marathon are presumably in storage with the steelox components.

Receipt of 2 gate keys for Summerville Centre Yale 16A212 are acknowledged.

Yours truly,

(MC Hyslop)
Wing Commander,
for Chief of the Air Staff
