Gap Filler Programme
Status of Construction Contracts
Please refer to my letter 10-36-80/5 TD 3030 (DCEC) dated February 1, 1963. Since the meeting held in the offices of DCL on January 21, 1963, additional information has been made available to the RCAF which indicated that the Gap Filler sites will not be required until the Summer of 1964.
It is, therefore, requested that all existing contracts be terminated and that you negotiate with each contractor to obtain the best possible termination charges. May all termination proposals be cleared with this office prior to submision to Treasury Board.
Because of the existing financial situation, every effort should be made to pay these charges before April 1, 1963.
