Operation by the United States Air Force of Gap
Filler Radar Stations in the Newfoundland-Labrador Area.
Attached for your information is the exchange of notes dated June 13, 1955, consituting an agreement governing the establishment and operation by the United States Air force of Gap Filler Radar Stations in the Newfoundland-Labrador area.
This agreement was prepared with a view to its subsequent declassification and tabling in Parliament. I should be grateful if you would let me know if your Department concurs in the declassificaton of this agreement. When we have obtained the views of the Canadian agencies concerned, we propose to take the matter up with the United States authorities.
