Dear Sir:

Re: Property Acquisition -
Gap Filler Radar Stations - Ontario
Your Reference: 10-36-80/7 TD1216 (CCE/Prop)

Referring to previous correspondence concerning your requirements for Gap Filler Radar Stations, we have been informed by the Ontario Department of Lands and Forests by letter dated November 6th from the office of the District Forester, that your Department has authority to enter on the selected area for Gap Filler Station 27 (Eaglet River) in the District of Thunder Bay to undertake certain tests for this requirement. The Provincial authorities make one stipulation in granting this permission, namely, that a Work Permit be obtained and we are, therefore, enclosing the required Application for completion by your Department.

A legal survey of this area will be carried out later and plans and descriptions can be sent to the Province in accordance with the usual procedure when the transfer of the administration and control of the property is required.

We have also received word from the Department of Lands and Forests that reservations have been made in favour of your Department at the following sites:

Algonquin Park
Biscotasing
Chapleau
Eaglet River
Marathon
Nipigon
Oba
Timmins

Yours truly,

JR Baldwin,
Deputy Minister
