Access Roads
Gap Filler Radar Stations - General

During the field inspections of the Gap Filler Radar Stations, it is requested that the following questions be answered and the Project Officer advised:

1. Who is laying out the alignment and grades for the access road:

2. Is he experienced with road construction?

3. Are plan, profile and cross sections being prepared for construction and payment?

4. Are adjustments being made to alignment and finshed grade elevations to economize?

5. Is an overrun anticipated in road quantities, especially rock excavation?

6. Is clearing being done well ahead of road construction and completed, including disposal of timber, brush, trimmings and stumps?

7. Is the right-of-way being kept cleaned up, trees not being bulldozed down the slopes and living trees beyond the right-of-way not being damaged?

8. What is the condition of road between highway and beginning of new construction?
