Re: General Revisions to Drawings & Specifications
Gap Filler Radar Stations
Dear Sirs:
With reference to the last paragraph of our 10-36-80/5 (DCEP) of 15 February 1962, regarding general revisions to drawings and specifications at the Gap Filler Radar Stations, we wish to point out that the request for all "On Site Design Changes" to be submitted for the approval of the AFHQ Project Officer was intended to apply to design changes affecting operational aspects and scope of the work.
It was not intended to apply to on site design changes resulting from field conditions or errors and omissions in the drawings and specifications observed and discussed between your Project Engineers and our CCE/Inspectors.
It is requested that your Project Engineers be advised that our CCE/Inspectors have the authority to carry out their normal responsibilities at all Gap Filler Radar Stations as specified by RCAF publication CAP 209, Chapter 21, and DCL Manual.
