Re: Building Keys
Gap Filler Radar Stations

Dear Sirs;

We are enclosing two copies of a list of the buildings keys received to date for the Gap Filler Radar Stations. In a number of cases all four (or eight) keys have not yet been turned in by DCL but from a review of this list, it is requested that we be advised why the site numbers on the keys do not coincide with the site numbers called for in the specifications.

The site numbers bracketed in the first column indicate the new number called for in the specifications. The site number bracketed in the second column indicate the old number called for in the specifications which were to be superseded by the new numbers in the first column.

Summarizing our observations, we note the following situations:

Nicolet: CG3 number is wrong but C2E number is correct, but C2E keys are Gagnon & Fils, not Yale

Tobermory: C9B number is correct but key is Canada, not Yale.

St Joseph: C11E number is correct but keys are National, not Yale.

Scotch Settlement: CG17 number is wrong.

Lac Ste Marie: CG11 number is wrong.

Algonquin Park: CG9 number is wrong.

Elliot Lake: CG6 number is wrong.

La Tuque: CG2 number is wrong.

Timmins: CG5 number is wrong.

Atikokan: CG14 number is wrong.

Westport: CG18 number is correct but should have been C3A. Also, 4 Yale 1A111 were shipped which are apparently for Lac Ste Marie.

Confirmation is requested whether duplicate keys were issued to all sites bracketted in the second column or whether the General Contractor was to provide duplicate keys on any of these sites.

It is apparent that the wrong locksets and keys were issued with a number of shipments. Do you recommend inter-changing the cylinder on the locksets where the keys are incorrectly numbered or supplying another set of keys correctly numbered?

Yours truly,

(MC Hyslop)
