DEPUTY MINISTER OF TRANSPORT
OTTAWA, CANADA.

February 4th, 1960

File: 26-10-7

Dear Sir:

Re: Gap Filler Stations - London (Relocated) Site - Ontario
Your Reference: S10-136-80/5 TD 0007 (CCE/Prop)

Reference is made to your letter of January 18th, 1960 concerning permission to enter the property of Mr Sheldon Fuller to carry out field survey and soil tests in connection with your Gap Filler London (Relocated) Site.

Our Agent, accompanied by a representative of your Consulting Engineers, visited Mr Fuller and, enclosed is copy of the required Permission to Enter. We understand your requirements for this site will measure approximately 100' x 200' and approximately 1200' west of the road being located on the top of a rather high mound which is almost in the center of the field. This mound and most of the field is all sand, and in view of the talk that is circulating concerning the construction of a Highway bypass south of the Town of St Marys, Mr Fuller feels the sand at this location has considerable value when sold to a contractor for making asphalt pavement.

We bring this fact to your attention as, if it is the intention of your Department to make this site a definite requirement, the amount of compensation for this property wil be considerably higher than the prices paid for farm land in this vicinity.

Yours truly,

J R Baldwin
Deputy Minister

The Deputy Minister
Department of National Defence,
Ottawa, Ontario.

I, the undersigned, Sheldon Fuller, owner of a parcel of land in E 1/2 Lot 34, Concession 8, Township of E Missouri, County of Oxford, Province of Ontario, do hereby grant by these presents, to Her Majesty the Queen in the Right of Canada, Her Agents or Representatives, permission to enter on my property with all necessary equipment in order to do certain testing with mobile equipment: conducting contour surveys and soil investigations where necessary.

This permission is granted subject to my rights of compensation for any damage caused to my property and arising from the performance of such works as hereby permitted.

Dated at St Marys this 26 day of January 1960.

Witness: JF Doyle

Signed: Sheldon Fuller
