Deputy Minister,
Department of Transport
Ottawa, Ontario

Dear Sir:

Re: Proposed Location -
Gap Filler Station London
(Relocated) Site, Ontario

Would you please refer to your letter of 4 February, 1960, with which you forwarded a copy of a "Permission to Enter" form in respect of the property owned by Mr Sheldon fuller which is being considered for development as Gap Filler London (Relocated) Site.

I have been advised that due to the high concentration of commercial microwave installations and the generally low terrain throughout the whole of southwest Ontario, the choice of locations for this site was very restricted. The radar coverage from even this highest point, on the Fuller property, is less than that desired and the lowering of the tower on some other location would lessen the coverage.

If it is decided to erect our tower on the property covered by the "permission" we will certainly consider the land cost, when you have obtained an option, and determine whether it would be more economical to build a higher tower on a lower but less expensive location.Yours sincerely,

for Deputy Minister
