Re: Forestry Tower at Todd Mountain, NB
Your File: S10-136-80/5 (JDPG)

Dear Sirs:

Reference your letter of February 8th, to Miramichi Lumber Co, Newcastle, NB

The proposed joint purpose tower and facilities, as shown on the drawing accompanying your letter is acceptable to us in principle. We would stress that the height of the fire look-out cabin should be not less than 90 ft above the ground in order to give us adequate coverage in this particular location. We also assume that obstructions will be kept to a minimum.

It should be pointed out that the location of the proposed structures is on Miramichi Lumber Co freehold land and that the road, leading to the site from the end of the Provincial secondary road, is likewise owned by Miramichi Lumber Co. We should appreciate hearing from you as to what arrangements you would propose with respect to ownership and control of the freehold site and road.

Yours very truly,

I F Fogh,
Chief Logging Engineer
