Permission to Enter for Field Survey & Soil Investigation
Gap Filler Radar Station Westport Relocated, Ont.

Further to our S10-136-80/5 (JDPG) of 7 Jan 60, the following site has been approved and action is requested as noted:

(a) Westport Relocated - obtain permission from owners.

It is suggested that the DOT land agent contact the consulting engineer and arrange for an early trip to the site.

The following is general information about the site:

Name of Site: Westport Relocated.

Description of Site: Approximately 100' x 200' in Lot 20, Con IV, Twp of N Crosby, County of Leeds, but may be also Lot 20, Con V, same twp.

Location of Site: Start at Tweedsmuir Hotel in Westport, proceed N on Perth Road 0.6 miles to intersection, take left branch and proceed 3.5 miles to intersection at school house, take left branch and proceed 0.9 miles to intersection, take left branch and proceed 0.8 miles to a farm house on S side and a barn on N side, road becomes a trail, proceed 0.3 miles. At this point a vehicle trail leads to the left at a large oak tree. The site is approximately 500 feet along the road.

Part of Lot 20, Con IV: Mr James Joseph Pennett, Twp of Drummond, County of Lanark.

Part of Lot 20, Con IV: Mr Warren James Ross, Califon, New Jersey, USA

Property lines are indefinite, but site should be on Mr Pennett's land.

Consulting Engineer: MM Dillon & Company, 141 Maple Street, London, Ontario

Sketch Attached: Part of 1:50,000 Map Sheet 31 C/9 W/2 (6 copies).

In order to permit the field survey being carried out before winter conditions become serious, advance information is being forwarded directly to Aa Speer, DOT, Toronto.
