Construction - Gap Filler Radar Stations
Reference letter dated 16 Aug 55 from HQ United States Air Force, Washington, DC, at first folio hereunder, indicating that surveys for Gap Filler radar stations were to be completed by 15 Aug 55; also to para 3 of DCEA letter dated 8 Jul 55 at flagged folio, which concerns the obtaining of approval for the survey and construction of these stations from the Government of the Province of Newfoundland.
It would appear that USAF Central Co-ordinating Staff should be pressed for maps indicating the approximate locations and latitude and longitude bearings for each site.
If this information is not available from that source, a message to the Commander, Headquarters, Northeast Air Command, Pepperell Air Force Base, St John's, Newfoundland, might bring the desired results. Do you concur?
