May we please refer you to previous correspondence concerning the subject requirement. Copies of Drawings Nos T53-1-1000-1 and T53-1-1001-1 were supplied to Abitibi Power & Paper Company with our initial correspondence and in reply we were advised of their specific requirements, as set out in their letter of July 21st, 1961 copy of which was forwarded to you under date of August 4th, 1961.
Our Regional Office has since been informed that although the Company cannot follow the exact route of the road as indicated on the Drawing, it appears that there is no merchantable timber on this property or very little in any case, as the area was burned in 1948.
Possibly your Department is now in possession of a revised Drawing which would describe the road more accurately. If so, we would appreciate being furnished with three (3) copies thereof in order that we might be in a position to finalize our negotiations with the Paper Company.
