Mining Claims - RE Allerston - P49795 & P51016
Gap Filler Radar Station Timmins Ont

With reference to the a/n correspondence, it appears that Mt Jamieson, the site of the Gap Filler Radar Station at Timmins, is a very popular spot. The Dept of Lands and Forests have had a forestry tower located on this site for some time. The Timmins Ski Club have a License of Occupation issued by the Dept of Lands and Occupation to operate on the same claims as Mr Allerston now says are vital to his mining operations.

In view of the fact that the Dept has been granted surface rights by the Dept of Lands and Forests and as we are protected by the Mining Act from physical damage caused by mining operations, it is suggested that Mr Allerston be advised to proceed with his mining program. It is to be noted that our fenced area is 250 feet square (1.43 acres) whereas Mr Allerston is talking about 80 acres in this two claims. The location of these claims are shown on AFHQ Drawing No T53-1-1003-1, Location Plan, (6 print of which are attached).
