Real Property - Report of Surplus
Gap Filler Radar Station Tobermory, Ont

The following real property is considered to be surplus to RCAF requirements because of the cancellation of the Gap Filler Programme as stated in Air Council Minutes of Meeting held on 15 Jan 64, and 964-6-4 (DADSI) of 21 Jan 64.

  1. LAND ACQUIRED

    Building Area -

    270' x 300' in Lot 46, Concession 1 and 2, West of Bury Road, Township of St Edmunds, County of Bruce, as shown on Drawing No T52-1-1000-1, Property Plan, and DOT Plans T1870 and 1871. Owners - Angus S and Ernest H Ralph, RR #1, Tobermory, and Clarence & Mary Spears, RR #1, Tobermory.

    Clearing Area - Nil

    Access Road - New Construction - 240 ft approximately by 66 ft to Warner Bay Road

    Action - Advise Messrs Ralph and Spears that project is cancelled

    Outside Services - see Appendix "A"

    Access Road - see Appendix "A"

  3. MATERIAL

    Installed on Site - See Appendices "B, C, D, E, F1, F2, F3, G1, G2, H, J1, AND K1".

    In storage on site - Nil

    In storage off site - Nil

  4. DIESEL ALTERNATOR SET

    Partially installed on site. One (1). (To be removed by DCEM)

  5. COMMERCIAL POWER

    Advise Ont HEPC that project is cancelled

  6. EXISTING FORESTRY TOWER - Nil

  7. DCL ACTION - Nil

  8. USAF/GEEIA/GSMO ACTION

    Yes. Disposal of standard radar tower.

  9. GOVERNMENT & OTHER PARTIES INTERESTED IN SURPLUS ITEMS - Nil

It is requested that disposal action be taken.
