Deputy Minister,
Department of Transport,
Ottawa, Ontario

Dear Sir:

Re: Cancellation of Reservation
Provincial Crown Land,
Former Gap-Filler Site
Fox Harbour, Newfoundland.

I refer to your letter of 14 November, 1962, advising that the Province of Newfoundland have requested the cancellation of the reservation on the land reserved by the Crown for the above Gap-Filler Site, since the land is no longer being used for the Mid-Canada Line as specified in the reservation.

Crown Assets Disposal Corporation is negotiating for the sale of the buildings and three parcels of Crown-owned land located at the above site, and is now making a submission to the Governor General in Council to obtain executive authority for the sale of the above-mentioned land and buildings. It is expected that such authority will be obtained later this month at which time it will be in order to have the reservation cancelled. I will advise you when the above authority has been obtained.

Yours sincerely,

EB Armstrong
Deputy Minister
