  17. This fence was located around the perimter of the base - January 1964.
    The holes in the fence had been repaired on many occasions but it was still being used and growing. I say that because I walked from my room to the shower one morning and there stood a beautiful German girl wearing nothing but a smile. Everyone wanted to be an American then and I don't think they really cared how they went about it.
