28 March 1958
236167 LAC JJ Doyle was killed in a car accident near Montmedy, France. Funeral services were held in the RC Chapel on 1 April 1958.
28 March 1958
At 2347Z, the hospital called for an airevac for a patient with head and leg injuries. Our own C-45 was in the Maintenance Hangar for repairs. The Orderly Officer was notified and tried to locate the crew of the Bristol aircraft, without success. Aircraft 975 was despatched from 2 (F) Wing at 0109Z and arrived Marville at 1043Z. The ambulance met the aircraft on the ramp and advised the crew that the patient had died. Airevac 975 returned to FFGT at 0200Z.
