W/C FH Darragh was a pilot with 444 Squadron at 4 (F) Wing, Baden Germany. He was killed while flying in Sabre #23078 in a suspected inadvertent ejection at 800 feet while making a forced landing after an engine failure.

W/C Darragh was the Officer Commanding 444 Squadron between January 1954 and March 1954.

16 March 1954 - Information received today that W/C Darragh was killed at 4 (F) Wing in a Sabre accident. W/C Darragh was here on a short period of familiarization attached to 416 Squadron.
