A mid-air collision marred the day with the bail out of F/L J Farnham and the death of F/O J Liggett near Saarguemines.
4 Mar 55
All details regarding the late F/O Liggett now finalized. Funeral to be held Monday, 7 Mar at 0900 hours.
7 Mar 55
Weather cool and snowy. Funeral service held at 0900 hours for the late F/O J Liggett. Party moved off to the cemetery at Choloy on completion of chapel service.
