29 Jun 59

Two dependents were injured in the explosion of a wartime hand grenade which they found in the Fort Bellecroix area. Extensive excavations near the PMQ area have increased the possibility of such weapons being uncovered, and all personnel were warned of the danger accordingly.

4 Sep 56

RCAF personnel armed with mine detectors began a search for unexploded shells in the PMQ area following several reported discoveries of such relics from the last war.
