Appendix: "A" - Details of Instruction.

INFORMATION

Because a number of amendments to the Organization Order for 2452 Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron (Auxiliary) RCAF (2452 AC&W Sqn (Aux)) are necessary, it has been decided that, for clarity and ease of reference, the organization of this Unit will be re-defined.

INTENTION

To redefine the organization for 2452 AC&W Sqn (Aux) RCAF, (type A), Quebec, PQ.

EXECUTION

Effective Date

The provisions of this OrgO are to become effective 1 Dec 53.

Role

The role of this Sqn is to:

1. Train Auxiliary Force personnel in all aspects of aircraft control and warning operations.

   Maintain and operate radar and communications facilites as directed by the Gp Cdr, 1 Group RCAF (Aux), Montreal.

Command

The officer appointed to command 2452 ACW Sqn (Aux) is to be the Commanding Officer as defined by QR (Air) art 1.02 (xxi) (a) (iii).

Control

Control of this Squadron is to be exercised by the Gp Cdr, 1 Gp RCAF (Aux), Montreal, through the CO 11 Operational Wing HQ (Aux), Montreal.

ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

Establishment

Establishment codes 120 AP 621 and 220 AP 621 (formerly R101 ACWA and 6139 2452) are to remain in effect.

Personnel

The transfer or posting or both of personnel is to be arranged by AFHQ and the AOC ADC.

Accounting

Pay and materiel accounting are to be provided by 1 Gp HQ RCAF (Aux) AUC.

Expenditures are to be charged to Vote 600, except pay and allowances and travel and transportation of Reserve personnel which are to be charged to Vote 601.

For purposes of QR(Air) art 205.30 and AFAO F5.30, this Sqn is not designated a flying unit.

Supply

The provision of materiel is to be arranged by the AOC AMC and the Gp Cdr, 1 Cp HQ RCAF (Aux), Montreal.

Accommodation

Working and domestic accommodation are to be arranged for by the AOC ADC.

2 Para 9 - delete para 9 and insert new para to read:

"9 Pay and materiel accounting are to be arranged by the AOC ADC and these services are to be provided by 1 GpHQ RCAF (Aux) AUC."

3 para 12 - delete para 12 and insert new para to read:

"12 The provision of materiel is to be arranged by the AOsC ADC and AMC in accordance with CAP 16 Vol 1 and such materiel is to be issued by 1 GpGQ RCAF (Aux) AUC."
