Appendix: "A" - Details of Instruction.

INFORMATION

It has been decided to rewrite all OrgOs and to renumber them in sequence by Commands.

INTENTION

To rewrite the OrgO for 2452 Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron (Auxiliary) (2452 AC&W Sqn (Aux))

EXECUTION

Effective Date

The provisions of this OrgO are to become effective 1 Jan 55.

Role

The role of this Sqn is to:

  1. Train Auxiliary Force personnel in all aspects of aircraft control and warning operations.

  2. Maintain and operate radar and communications facilites as directed by the AOC ADC.

Command

The officer appointed to command 2452 ACW Sqn (Aux) is to be the Commanding Officer as defined by QR (Air) art 1.02 (xxi) (a) (iii).

Control

Control of this Squadron is to be exercised by the AOC ADC GpCdr, 1 Gp (Aux), and the CO 11 l Wg HQ (Aux).

ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

Establishment

Establishment codes 120 AP 621 and 220 AP 621 are to remain in effect.

Personnel

The transfer or posting of personnel is to be arranged by AFHQ and ADCHQ.

Accounting

Pay and materiel accounting are to be arranged by the AOC ADC and these services are to be provided by 1 Gp HQ(Aux) Admin Unit.

Expenditures are to be charged to Vote 600, except pay and allowances and travel and transportation of Reserve personnel which are to be charged to Vote 601.

For purposes of QR(Air) art 205.30 and AFAO F5.30, this Sqn is not designated a flying unit.

Supply

The provision of materiel is to be arranged by the AOsC ADV and AMC in accordance with CAP 16 Vol 1 and this materiel is to be issued by 1Gp HQ (Aux) Admin Unit.

Accommodation and Messing

Accommodation and messing are to be arranged by the AOC ADC.

Medical, Dental and Chaplaincy Services

Medical, dental and chaplaincy services are to be arranged by the AOC ADC.
