INFORMATION

In accordance with a decision to assign a new role to RCAF Auxiliary Sqns, it has been found desirable to carry out a general reorganization of the RCAF Auxiliary. Under this new concept the Auxiliary Wing Headquarters will be controlling a transport, rather than an air defence, type of activity. However, since the functions of the AC&W Sqns (Aux) will continue to be homogeneous with the functions of the ADC, it has been decided that these sqns will in future report directly to ADCHQ. In view of these changes it is necessary to restate the organization of 2452 Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron (Auxiliary) (2452 AC&W Sqn (Aux).

INTENTION

To restate the organization 2452 AC&W Sqn (Aux)

EXECUTION

Effective Date

The provisions of this order shall become effective 11 Oct 58.

Role

The role of this Sqn shall be to:

1. Train Auxiliary Force personnel in all aspects of aircraft control and warning operations.

2. Maintain and operate radar and communications facilites as directed by the AOC ADC.

Command

The officer appointed to command 2452 ACW Sqn (Aux) shall be the Commanding Officer as defined by QR (Air) art 1.02 (xxi) (a) (iii).

Control

Control of this Squadron shall be exercised by the AOC ADC.

ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

Establishment

Establishment codes 120 AP 621 and 220 AP 621 shall remain in effect.

Personnel

The transfer or posting of personnel shall be arranged by AFHQ and ADCHQ.

Accounting

Pay and materiel accounting shall be arranged by the AOC ADC and these services shall be provided by CO RCAF Stn St Hubert.

For purposes of QR(Air) art 205.35 this Sqn shall not designated a flying unit.

Supply

The provision of materiel shall be arranged by the AOsC ADC and AMC in accordance with CAP 16 Vol 1 and this materiel shall be issued by CO RCAF Stn St Hubert.

Accommodation and Messing

Accommodation and messing shall be arranged by the AOC ADC.

Medical, Dental and Chaplaincy Services

Medical, dental and chaplaincy services shall be arranged by the AOC ADC.
