A mess dinner was held Saturday, November 29th, at the officers mess, presided over by S/L Andre O Dumas, Commanding Officer, and F/L Rodolphe Lafreneire, Chief Administration Officer, and PMC.
At 1830 hrs, a cocktail preceeded the dinner at GObC Lounge.
Seated at the head table were guest of honor, Messrs, Andre Julien, Mayor of Cap de la Madeleine; L Allyson, Alserman, representative of the Mayor of Trois Rivieres; Major LA Dubuc, Commanding Officer of the Trois Rivieres Regiment, and S/L G Lavigne.
Among those attending the mess dinner were:- Chaplains Father Lamy, RC, and Rev Kidd, Protestant.
The F/Ls Braun, Briere, Desjardins, Hardy, Johnson and St Arnault.
The F/Os Bourdeau, Bond, Boucher, Bourdon, Brousseau, Godbout, Jenssen, Lemieux, Lord, Major, McKegney, Morand, Morrissette, Parent, Solly.
The P/Os Beliveau, A Biron, Cornell, Farwell, Giroux, J Levesque, Lodge, J Marchand, L Marchand.
And Mr G Potter.
During the dinner, three new officers, P/O L Marchand, Nursing Sister, J Levesque, GObC Officer, and P/O LA Biron, Public Relations Officer were introduced to Members and guest by S/L AO Dumas.
The dinner ended at 2030 hr and at 2100 hrs the Officers' wives and friends had been invited for a party.
As per DROs dated November 28th 58, P/O LA Biron was taken on strength as PRO.
