INFORMATION
Since its activation as a Class "B" Sqn on 15 Jan 51, 2455 ACW Sqn (Aux) has made marked progress towards achieving a high state of operational proficiency. The size of, and the continuinig interest being shown by, the surrounding civilian community, and the adequacy of the Sqn's accommodation indicates that 2455 ACW Sqn (Aux) should be re-classified as a Class "A" Sqn. The enlarged Class "A" establishment would enable this Sqn to train a greater number of personnel for active duty in an emergency.
INTENTION
To re-classify 2455 ACW Sqn (Aux) RCAF as a Class "A" Sqn.

Effective Date
This Sqn is to be re-classified as a Class "A" Sqn eff 1 Jun 53.
Function
The function of this Sqn is to:
Command
The officer appointed to command 2455 ACW Sqn (Aux) is to be the Commanding Officer as defined by QR (Air) art 1.02 (xxi)(a)(iii).
Control
Control of 2455 ACW Sqn (Aux) is to be exercised by the Gp Cdr 12 ADGp, through the CO 19 Wing HQ (Aux) RCAF, Vancouver, BC.
ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS
Establishment
The establishment, codes 2 21 AU 643, amended eff 1 Jun 53 and 1 21 AU 643, is to remain in effect.
Personnel
The transfer or posting or both of personnel is to be arranged by AFHQ and 12 ADGp HQ.
Accounting
Pay accounting is to be provided by 12 ADGp HQ. Materiel accounting is to be provided by the CO RCAF Stn Sea Island.
Expenditures are to be charged to Vote 600, except for pay and allowances, and for travel and transportation expenses for auxiliary force personnel which are to be charged to Vote 601.
For the purpose of QR (Air) art 205.30 and AFAO F5.30 this Sqn is not designated a flying unit.
Accommodation
Working accommodation is to be arranged by the AOC ADC and the Gp Cdr 12 ADGp.
When rations and quarters are not available, personnel are to be entitled to subsistence allowance in accordance with QR (Air) art 205.01.
