INFORMATION

The amalgamation of the RCAF units in the Toronto area and the reorganization of the RCAF Auxiliary following the decision to re-equip the Auxiliary flying squadrons to perform emergency and rescue role, resulted in the transfer of control of 14 WG HQ (Aux) and its units from the AOC ADC to the AOC ATC. However since the functions of 2400 AC&W Sqn (Aux) remain homogeneous with those of ADC it has been decided that this Sqn should be directly controlled by the AOC ADC. It is therefore necessary that the OrgO be rewritten to relfect this reorganization.

INTENTION

To restate the organization for 2400 AC&W Sqn (Aux).

EXECUTION

Effective Date

The provisions of this order shall become effective1 Oct 58

Role

The role of this sqn shall be:

1. to train Auxiliary personnel including those in the trades of Fighter Controller and Fighter Control Operator in all aspects of aircraft control and warning operations.

2. to maintain and operate radar and communications facilities as directed by the AOC ADC.

Command

The Officer appointed to command 2400 ACW Sqn (Aux) is to be the Commanding Officer as defined by QR (Air) art 1.02 (xxi)(a)(iii).

Control

Control of this Sqn is to be exercised by the AOC ADC.

ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

Establishment

Establishment codes 120 AN 625 and 220 AN 625 are to remain in effect.

Personnel

The transfer of personnel is to be arranged by AFHQ and ADCHQ.

Accounting

Pay and materiel accounting shall be arranged by the AOsC ADC and ATC and these services shall be provided by the CO RCAF Stn Downsview.

For purposes of QR (Air) art 205.30 this Sqn shall not designated as a flying unit.

Supply

The provision of materiel shall be arranged by the AOsC ADC and AMC in accordance with CAP 16 Vol 1 and this materiel is to be issued by the CO RCAF Stn Downsview.

Construcion Engineering

Construction Engineering sevices shall be arranged by the AOsC ADC and ATC and shall be provided by the CO RCAF Stn Downsview.

Accommodation and Messing

Accommodation and messing shall be arranged by the AOsC ADC and ATC.

Medical, Dental and Chaplaincy Services

Medical, dental and chaplaincy services are to be arranged by the AOC ADC.
