A representative group of Officers, Airmen, Airwomen took part in the Toronto Coronation Parade and march past.

24 Jun 53

Former Sgt W Liddell welcomed into the Officers Mess after receiving his commission as a Flying Officer.

3 Jul 53

Squadron entrained for two weeks summer training at 33 AC&W Sqn Falconbridge, Ontario.

4 Jul 53

Arrived Falconbridge and squadron orderly room and quarters set up in former construction camp.

5 Jul 53

Briefing for all squadron personnel. Auxiliary personnel assigned shifts with regular force and routine duties carried out.

10 - 12 Jul 53

Operation "Tailwind"

All rank party in Recreation Hall. S/L Illingworth presented 2400 AC&WS "Birdwatcher Trophy" to W/C Stroud for annual competition. (see appendix "A").

18 Jul 53

Squadron entrained for Toronto at conclusion of summer training.

19 Jul 53

Stand down.

The regular training program resumed.

S/L Illingworth and the squadron representatives visited 31 AC&WS Edgar for familiarization.

21 Sep 53

Squadron took part in the annual "Battle of Britain" church parade.

24 Jul 53

Squadron participated in the AOC's parade and inspection. AVM James took the salute.

26 Sep 53

Squadron personnel (officers and other ranks) proceeded to 31 AC&WS Edgar for a two day practical training exercise. This is the first of a series of such exercises to be carried out on two week-ends during each of the following months.

28 Oct 53

Squadron competed in 14 Operational Wing Sports Parade for the Marani Cup.

8 Nov 53

Squadron representatives (officers and other ranks) visited Camp Borden and the Ground Observer Corps Center in Barrie, Ontario.

11 Nov 53

The squadron held a parade at Stn Toronto to commemorate Armistice Day.
