INFORMATION

Although it was the original intention that Fighter Controller and Fighter Control Operator training was to have been conducted at 1 R&C Unit (Aux), it has been determined that it is more practical and efficient to conduct this training, in the Montreal area, at 2401 ACWU (Aux). Hence, this training has and is being conducted at the latter Unit. As this arrangement is more satisfactory, suitable organizational amendments should be made to give effect to these changes.

INTENTION

To edit and reissue the organization order for 2401 ACWU (Aux) RCAF, to include Fighter Controller and Fighter Control Operator training as a function of this Unit.

EXECUTION

Effective Date

This Orgo is to become eff 1 Feb 53.

Function

To train Auxiliary personnel, including those in the trades of Fighter Controller and Fighter Control Operator, in all aspects of aircraft control and warning operations.

To maintain and operate radar and communications facilities as directed by AOC ADC, through the Gp Cdr 1 Gp (Aux) RCAF, Montreal.

Command

The officer appointed to command 2401 ACWU is to be the Commanding Officer as defined by QR (Air)art 1.02 (xxi)(b)(iii).

Control

Control of this ACWU is to be exercised by the Gp Cdr 1 Gp (Aux) RCAF, through the CO 11 Operational Wing HQ (Aux) RCAF, Montreal.

ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

Establishment

Establishments 617R 2401 and 6133 2401 amended are to remain in effect.

Personnel

The transfer or posting or both of personnel is to be arranged by AFHQ and ADC HQ.

Accounting

Pay and materiel accounting are to be provided by the Commandant 1 Gp HQ (Aux) AU, Montreal.

Expenditures are to be charged to Vote 600, except pay and allowances and travel and transportation of Auxiliary personnel which are to be charged to Vote 601.

Supply

The provision of materiel for this Unit is to be arranged by the AOsC ADC and AMC.

Accommodation

Working and domestic accommodation are to be arranged by AOC ADC through Gp Cdr 1 Gp (Aux) RCAF, Montreal.
