Appendix "A" - Details of Instruction

INFORMATION

It has been decided to rewrite all OrgOs and to renumber them in sequence by Commands.

INTENTION

To rewrite the OrgO for 2402 Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron (Auxiliary)RCAF(2402 AC&W Sqn (Aux)).

EXECUTION

Effective Date

The provisions of this order are to become effective 1 Jan 55.

Role

The role of this Sqn is:

1. to train personnel of the RCAF Auxiliary in all aspects of aircraft control and warning operations.

2. to maintain and operate radar and communications facilites as directed by the AOC ADC.

Command

The officer appointed to command 2402 ACW Sqn (Aux) is to be the Commanding Officer as defined in QR (Air) art 1.02 (xxi)(a)(iii).

Control

Control of this Sqn is to be exercised by the AOC ADC through the CO 17 WgHQ (Auxiliary).

The AOC ADC is to issue instructions requiring personnel of 2402 AC&W Sqn (Aux) to abide by station orders and regulations issued by the CO RCAF Station Winnipeg.

ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

Establishment

Establishment codes 120 BB 653 and 220 BB 653 are to remain in effect.

Personnel

The transfer or posting of personnel is to be arranged by AFHQ and ADCHQ.

Accounting

Pay and materiel accounting is to be arranged by the AOsC ADC and TC and these services are to beprovided by the CO RCAF Station Winnipeg.

Expenditures are to be charged to Vote 600, except pay and allowances and travel and transportation of Reserve personnel which are to be charged to Vote 601.

For purposes of QR (Air), art 205.30 and AFAO F5.30, this Sqn is not designated a flying unit.

Supply

The provision of materiel is to be arranged by the AOsC ADC, TC and AMC in accordance with CAP 16, Vol 1 and this materiel is to be issued by the CO RCAF Stn Winnipeg.

Accommodation and Messing

Accommodation and messing are to be arranged by the AOsC ADC and TC.

Medical, Dental and Chaplaincy Services

Medical, dental and chaplaincy services are to be arranged by the AOsC ADC and TC.
