INFORMATION

Since the promulgation of the original OrgO for 2405 ACWU (Aux) Halifax, NS, there have been a number of amendments such as that necessitated by the change in control form MGp to ADC. These amendments have detracted from the clarity and ease of reference of this order. Therefore it has been decided to edit and re-issue the Org O for this unit.

INTENTION

To edit and re-issue the OrgO for 2405 ACWU (Aux) Halifax, NS.

EXECUTION

Effective Date

2405 ACWU (Aux) was formed effective 1 May 60.

Function

To train auxiliary personnel in all aspects of aircraft control and warning operations.

To maintain and operate radar and communications facilities as directed by the AOC ADC.

Command

The officer appointed to command 2405 ACWU (Aux) is to be the Commanding Officer as defined by QR (Air) Art 1.02 (xxi).

Control

Functional and administrative control of this unit is to be exercised by AOC ADC.

ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

Establishment

Establishment 450R 2405 and 4515 2405 are to become eff 1 Apr 52.

Personnel

The transfer or posting of personnel is to be arranged by AFHQ and AOC ADC.

Equipment and Supplies

The provision of equipment and supplies is to be arranged by the GpCdr MGpHQ and AOC AMC in accordance with CAP 16, Vol 1, Part 2, Sec Q102/1. Supply matters of a technical nature, however, are to be passed to the AOC ADC for approval prior to supply action by the CpCdr MGp.

Accounting

Expenditures are to be charged to Vote 600, except pay and allowances, travel and transportation expenses for Auxiliary personnel which are to be charged to Vote 601.

Pay and equipment accounting is to continue to be provided by MGpHQ.

Accommodation

Working and domestic accommodation is to be provided by the GpCdr MGp as arranged for by the AOC ADC.

All telecommunications facilities of 2405 ACWU (Aux) are the responsibility of the AOC ADC, with the exception of local landline and telephone facilities leased from the Maritime Telegraph and Telephone Co, which are the responsibility of the GpCdr MGp. The AOC ADC is responsible for the design, modification and processing of all operations room telephone systems whether the associated equipment is RCAF owned or obtained on lease by the GpCdr MGp from the Maritime Telegraph and Telephone Co.
