Appendix "A" - Details of Instruction.

INFORMATION

It has been decided to rewrite all OrgOs and to renumber them in sequence by Commands.

INTENTION

To rewrite the OrgO for 2405 Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron (Auxiliary) RCAF(2405 ACW Sqn (Aux)).

EXECUTION

Effective Date

The provisions of this order are to become effective 1 Jan 55.

Role

The role of this Sqn is:

  1. to train Auxiliary Force personnel in all aspects of aircraft control and warning operations.

  2. to maintain and operate radar and communications facilities as directed by the AOC ADC.

Command

The officer appointed to command 2405 ACW Sqn (Aux) is to be the Commanding Officer of this Sqn as defined by QR (Air) Art 1.02 (xxi)(a)(iii).

Control

Control of this Sqn is to be exercised by AOC ADC.

ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

Establishment

Establishment codes 120 AS 632 and 220 AS 632 are to remain in effect.

Personnel

The transfer or posting of personnel is to be arranged by AFHQ and ADCHQ.

Accounting

Pay and materiel accounting is to be arranged by the AOsC ADC and MAC and these services are to be provided by MACHQ Amin Unit.

Expenditures are to be charged to Vote 600, except pay and allowances, travel and transportation expenses for Auxiliary personnel which are to be charged to Vote 601.

For the purposes of QR (Air) art 205.30 and AFAO F5.30 this unit is not designated a flying unit.

Supply

The provision of materiel is to be arranged by the AOsC ADC, AMC and MAC in accordance with CAP 16 Vol 1 and this materiel is to be issued by MACHQ Admin Unit.

Telecommunications Facilities

All telecommunications facilities of 2405 ACW Sqn (Aux) are the responsibility of the AOC ADC, with the exception of local landline and telephone facilities leased from the Maritime Telegraph and Telephone Co, which are the responsibility of the AOC MAC. The AOC ADC is responsible for the design, modification and processing of all operations room telephone systems whether the associated equipment is RCAF owned or obtained on lease by the AOC MAC from the Maritime Telegraph and Telephone Co.

Accommodation and Messing

Accommodation and messing are to be arranged by the AOsC ADC and MAC.

Medical, Dental and Chaplaincy Services

Medical, dental and chaplaincy services are to be arranged by the AOsC ADC and MAC.
