An informal visit was made by ADC AVM AL James with W/C Brieze (W/C OPS ACW), W/C Labble (Supply) and W/C Gwinn (CTelO). Accommodations and training facilities were inspected.

17 Dec 53

TCHQ Quarterly Trade Examinations were held at this unit for 20 Dec 54. The presiding officers were F/O AM Jamieson and F/O HW MacPhail.

17 Jan 54

A staff visit was made by S/L Sarty SOEd ADCHQ.

28 Jan 54

F/O Garth was appointed President of the Airmen's Mess Committee succeeding F/L DG MacDonald.

1 Feb 54

161077W P/O DA Morrison was promoted to the rank of F/O.

30 Feb 54

During the month of Feb recruiting for summer training was commenced .

TCHQ Quarterly Trade Examinations were held at this unit. F/O AM Jamieson was Presiding Officer.

Qualifying Examinations for Flying Officers were held at this unit with F/L DG MacDonald as Presiding Officer.

161308W LM Peers assumed the duties of Adjutant of 2405 AC&W Sqn.

161168 LAC Burke, ComPC (G) 1 transferred to the RCAF Regular.

25 Apr 54

S/L GA Rice, Commanding Officer, F/L DG MacDonald, Chief Training Officer and F/O JW Ralston, Officer Commanding the Support Unit proceeded on TD to ADC and returned on 26 Apr 54.

29 Apr 54

G/C Ledoux and S/L Boucher, ADC, carried out a staff visit at this unit.

27 May 54

161077W F/O DA Morrison appointed Security Officer for the unit.

31 May 54

During the month of May, 15 airwomen, 11 air cadets and 25 male high school students were selected from approximately 130 applicants for the RTTP (B).

During the month of May 12 Fighter Control Opertors were remustered to Group 1 and 3 to Group 2. One Clk Steno remustered to Group 1.
