Appendix "A: - Details of Instruction.

INFORMATION

Because a number of amendments to the Organization Order for 2146 Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron (Auxiliary) RCAF (2416 AC&W Sqn (Aux)) are necessary, it has been decided that, for clarity and ease of reference, the organization of this Unit will be re-defined.

INTENTION

To re-define the organization of 2416 AC&W Sqn (Aux) RCAF (type A), Ottawa, Ont.

EXECUTION

Effective Date

The provisions of this OrgO are to become effective 1 Dec 53.

Role

The role of this Sqn is to:

  1. Train Auxiliary personnel in all aspects of aircraft control and warning operations.

  2. Maintain and operate radar and communications facilites as directed by the AOC ADC.

Command

The officer appointed to command 2416 ACW Sqn (Aux) is to be the Commanding Officer as defined by QR (Air) art 1.02 (xxi)(a)(iii).

Control

Control of this Sqn is to be exercised by the Gp Cdr 1 Gp HQ (Aux) RCAF, Montreal through the CO 11 Operational Wing HQ.

ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

Establishment

Establishment codes 120 AA 618 and 220 AA 618 (formerly R101 ACWA and 6132 2416) are to remain in effect.

Personnel

The transfer or posting or both of personnel is to be arranged by AFHQ and ADC HQ.

Accounting

Pay and materiel accounting are to be provided by the CO RCAF Station Uplands.

Expenditures are to be charged to Vote 600, except pay and allowances, and travel and transportation of Auxiliary Personnel which are to be charged to Vote 601.

For purposes of QR(Air) art 205.30 and AFAO F5.30 this Sqn is not designated a flying unit.

Supply

The provision of materiel is to be arranged by the AOsC ADC and AMC.

Accommodation

Working and domestic accommodation are to be arranged by AOC ADC through Gp Cdr1 Group RCAF (Aux).

1 Para 2 - line 2, delete "(Type A)".

2 Para 9 - delete para 9 and insert new para to read:

"9 Pay and materiel accounting are to be arranged by the AOC ADC and these services are to be provided by the CO RCAF Stn Uplands."

3 Para 12 - add "in accordance with CAP 16 Vol 1 and such materiel is to be issued by the CO RCAF Station Uplands.
