INFORMATION

The amalgamation of the RCAF units in the Toronto area and the reorganization of the RCAF Auxiliary following the decision to re-equip the Auxiliary flying squadrons to perform an emergecy and rescue role, resulted in the transfer of control of 14 Wg HQ (Aux) and its units from the AOC ADC to the AOC ATC. However, since the functions of 2416 AC&W Sqn (Aux) remain homogeneous with those of ADC it has been decided that this Sqn should be directly controlled by the AOC ADC. It is therefore necessary that the OrgO be rewritten to reflect this organization.

INTENTION

To restate the organization for 2416 AC&W Sqn (Aux).

EXECUTION

Effective Date

The provisions of this order shall become effective 1 Oct 58.

Role

The role of this Sqn shall be:

1. to train Auxiliary personnel in all aspects of aircraft control and warning operations.

2. to maintain and operate radar and communications facilites as directed by the AOC ADC.

Command

The officer appointed to command 2416 ACW Sqn (Aux) shall be the Commanding Officer as defined by QR (Air) art 1.02 (xxi)(a)(iii).

Control

Control of this Sqn shall be exercised by the AOC ADC

ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

Establishment

Establishment codes 120 AA 618 and 220 AA 618 shall remain in effect.

Personnel

The transfer or posting of personnel shall be arranged by AFHQ and ADC HQ.

Accounting

Pay and materiel accounting shall be arranged by the AOC ADC and these services are to be provided by the CO RCAF Station Uplands.

For purposes of QR(Air) art 205.35 this Sqn shall not be designated a flying unit.

Supply

The provision of materiel shall be arranged by the AOsC ADC and AMC in accordance with CAP 16 Vol 1 and this materiel is to be issued by the CO RCAF Stn Uplands.

Construction Engineering

Construction engineering services shall be arranged by the AOC ADC and shall be provided by the CO RCAF Stn Uplands.

Accommodation and Messing

Accommodation and Messing shall be arranged by AOC ADC

Medical, Dental and Chaplaincy Services

Medical, dental and chaplaincy services shall be arranged by the AOC ADC.
