INFORMATION

With the disbandment of RCAF Stn London, RCAF Stn Centralia will be responsible for the provision of pay and materiel accounting for 2420 Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron (Auxiliary) (2420 AC&W Sqn (Aux)). Because of the amendments arising from this change it has been decided to reissue the order to clarify its content.

INTENTION

To restate the organization of 2420 AC&W Sqn (Aux).

EXECUTION

Effective Date

The provisions of this order shall become effective 30 Sep 58.

Role

The role of this Sqn shall be to:

  1. train auxiliary personnel in all aspects of aircraft control and warning operations.

  2. maintain and operate radar and communications facilities as directed by the AOC ADC.

Command

The officer appointed to command 2420 AC&W Sqn (Aux) shall be the Commanding Officer of this Sqn as defined by QR(Air), art 1.02 (xxi)(a)(iii).

Control

Control of this Sqn shall be exercised by the AOC ADC.

ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

Establishment

Establishment codes 120 JG 632 and 220 JG 632 shall remain in effect.

Personnel

The transfer or posting of personnel shall be arranged by AFHQ and ADCHQ.

Accounting

Pay and materiel accounting shall be arranged by the AOsC ADC and TC and these services are to be provided by the CO RCAF Stn Centralia.

For purposes of QR (Air), art 205.35 this Sqn shall not be designated a flying unit.

Supply

The provision of materiel shall be arranged by the AOsC ADC, TC and AMC in accordance with CAP 16 Vol 1 and this materiel shall be issued by the CO RCAF Stn Centralia.

Accommodation and Messing

Accommodation and messing shall be arranged by the AOC ADC.

Medical, Dental and Chaplaincy Services

Medical, dental and chaplaincy services shall be arranged by the AOC ADC.
