INFORMATION

In conjunction with the moves of ATCHQ and TCHQ to Trenton and Winnipeg respectively, control of RCAF Stn Hamilton is being transferred to the AOC ATC. Because of the numerous resultant amendments to this OrgO, it has been decided to rewrite it.

INTENTION

To rewrite the OrgO for 2424 Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron (Auxiliary) (2424 AC&W Sqn (Aux)).

EXECUTION

Effective Date

The provisions of this order shall become effective 12 Sep 59.

Role

The role of this Sqn is:

1. to train Auxiliary personnel in all aspects of Aircraft Control and Warning operations.

2. to maintain and operate radar and communications facilities as directed by the AOC ADC.

Command

The officer appointed to command 2424 AC&W Sqn (Aux) is to be the Commanding Officer as defined by QR(Air) art 1.02 (xxi)(a)(iii).

Control

Control of this Sqn shall be exercised by the AOC ADC.

ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

Establishment

Establishment codes 120 AM 606 and 220 AM 606 are to remain in effect.

Personnel

The transfer or posting of personnel is to be arranged by AFHQ and ADCHQ.

Accounting

Pay and materiel accounting is to be arranged by the AOsC ADC and ATC and these services shall be provided by the CO RCAF Station Hamilton.

For the purpose of QR(Air) Art 205.35 this Sqn is not designated a flying unit.

Supply

The provision of materiel shall be arranged by the AOsC ADC, ATC and AMC in accordance with CAP 16 Vol 1 and this materiel shall be issued by the CO RCAF Stn Hamilton.

CE Services

These services shall be arranged by the AOsC ADC and ATC and provided by the CO RCAF Stn Hamilton.

Accommodation and Food Services

These services shall be arranged by the AOsC ADC and ATC and provided by the CO, RCAF Stn Hamilton.

Medical, Dental and Chaplaincy Services

These services shall be arranged by the AOsC ADC and ATC and provided by the CO RCAF Stn Hamilton.

INTERCOMMUNICATION

Channels of Communication

Channels of communication shall be as provided by CAP 460.

The address for this Squadron shall be as promulgated in CAP 460.
