INFORMATION

Coincident with the transfer of control of 16 Wing Headquarters (Auxiliary) from the AOC ADC to the AOC TC, it was decided that the control of 2424 Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron (Auxiliary) (2424 AC&W Sqn (Aux)) be transferred from 16 WgHQ Aux to the AOC ADC.

INTENTION

To transfer control of 2424 AC&W Sqn (Aux) from 16 WgHQ (Aux) to the AOC ADC.

EXECUTION

Effective Date

The provisions of this order are to become effective 1 Sep 57.

Role

The role of this Sqn is:

1. to train Auxiliary personnel in all aspects of Aircraft Control and Warning operations.

2. to maintain and operate radar and communications facilities as directed by the AOC ADC.

Command

The officer appointed to command 2424 AC&W Sqn (Aux) is to be the Commanding Officer as defined by QR(Air) art 1.02 (xxi)(a)(iii).

Control

Control of this Sqn is to be exercised by the AOC ADC.

ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

Establishment

Establishment codes 120 AM 606 and 220 AM 606 are to remain in effect.

Personnel

The transfer or posting of personnel is to be arranged by AFHQ and ADCHQ.

Accounting

Pay and materiel accounting is to be arranged by the AOC ADC and these services are to be provided by the CO RCAF Station Hamilton.

Expenditures are to be charged to Vote 600, except for pay and allowances, and travel and transporation expenses, for Auxiliary personnel which are to be charged to Vote 601.

For the purpose of QR(Air) Art 204.40 this Sqn is not designated a flying unit.

Supply

The provision of materiel is to be arranged by the AOsC ADC and AMC in accordance with CAP 16 Vol 1 and this materiel is to be issued by the CO RCAF Stn Hamilton.

Accommodation

Accommodation and messing are to be arranged by the AOC ADC.

Medical, Dental and Chaplaincy Services

Medical, dental and chaplaincy services are to be arranged by the AOC ADC.
