Squadron Officers held a farewell party in honour of S/L Gray on the occasion of his retirement, at 19 Wing HQ Officers' Mess. S/L and Mrs Gray were presented with a movie camera and screen.

Squadron aimen and airwomen held a CO's farewell party in the Squadron Canteen. A presentation of a movie projector was made to S/L Gray.

Commanding Officer's Handing-over Parade of 2442 AC&W Sqn (Aux) from S/L Gray to S/L T Ellison, held at RCAF Station Sea Island. After the parade refreshments were served in the squadon lounge for squadron personnel, their friends and relatives.

A cocktail party was held in the Officers' Mess, Stn Cold Lake, in honour of the Officers of 42 AC&W Sqn. Officers of 2442 AC&W Sqn (Aux) presented officers of 42 AC&W Sqn with a one gallon stainless steel beer mug.
The airmen and airwomen of 2442 AC&W Sqn (Aux) entertained the airmen and airwomen of 42 AC&W Sqn at a picnic at RCAF Stn Cold Lake.
