Appendix "A" - Courses of Instruction
INFORMATION
1 R&C Unit (aux) has not, since its activation trained any Fighter Controllers or Fighter Control Operators even though such personnel have been held against the establishment of this unit, these personel have been trained by, and in fact held on the strength of, 2401 ACWU. As this arrangement has proved to be the better method of training Fighter Controller and Fighter Control Operators (Aux) in the Montreal area, suitable organizational amenments should be made to give effect to these changes.
INTENTION
To edit and re-issued the OrgO for 1 R&C Unit (Aux) to delete Fighter Controller and Fighter Control Operator training from the training functions of this Unit.
EXECUTION
Effective Date
This Orgo is to become eff 1 Feb 53.
Function
The purpose of 1 R&C Unit (Aux) is to provide Radar and Communications training to the standard required in the trades as listed in Appendix "A".
Command
The officer appointed to command 1 R&C Unit (Aux) is to be the Commanding Officer as defined by QR (Air) art 1.02 (xxi)(a)(iii).
Control
Control of this Unit is to be exercised by the Gp Cdr 1 Gp (Aux) RCAF, through the CO 12 Technical training wing HQ (Aux) RCAF.
ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS
Establishment
Establishments 638R 1 RCU and 6145 RCUS amended are to remain in effect.
Personnel
The transfer or posting or both of personnel is to be arranged by AFHQ and ADC HQ.
Accounting
Pay and materiel accounting are to be provided by the Camp Commandant, 1 Gp HQ (Aux) AU, Montreal.
Expenditures are to be charged to Vote 600 except for pay and allowances, and travel and transportation expenses for Auxiliary personnel, which are to be charged to Vote 601.
Supply
The provision of materiel is to be arranged by the AOC ADC and the AOC AMC, and such items are to be issued by the Commandant 1 Gp HQ (Aux) AU, Montreal.
Accommodation
Accommodation is to be arranged by the AOC ADC through the Gp Cdr 1 Gp (Aux).

Amendments
1 Appendix "A" eff 2 Jul 53, the title of this Appendix is to be amended to read "Details of Instruction". Also, existing Appendix "A" is to be deleted and new Appendix "A", attached to this amendment list, is to be inserted.
2 Function Eff 2 Jul 53, para 4, including the para heading, is to be deleted and new para 4 inserted to read as shown below.

4 To train auxiliary and primary reserve force personnel in the telecommunications operations and maintenance trades, in accordance with the details of instruction at Appendix "A" and approve syllabi."
